    Life after loss

"Good grief!” If you think about it, it is sort of an odd expression. Honestly, is there really such a thing as grief that is good? As it turns out, there is. Living with Loss reveals how comfort for the soul can be found as we grieve our losses. In the following pages, counselor and fellow-griever, Tim Jackson, invites us to consider…

    India - Grief

One of my earliest childhood memories was of my parents wrestling with grief. My uncle had been killed in a car crash just weeks before Christmas, leaving behind my aunt (my Dad’s sister) and three small children.

The layers of grief that my parents were experiencing was beyond me. Clearly, there were tears; there was loss; there was struggle. There was…

    Prayer resources

In this time of crisis if you are struggling to pray, you are not alone! Though we continue to pray for ourselves and our nation, many of us are tired of praying and are not even sure of how to pray anymore. Let's turn to Jesus to re-learn what He taught us about prayer and also to look at how…

As the second wave scorches through our country like a ravaging fire, it is hard not to be affected. Every news channel on television and social media is filled with negative imagery which is often hard to even digest. The heart aches in ways we have never experienced before, as the news of the affected and their families haunt our…

We are breathing in unprecedented times. The greatest fear reading the charts today is that I may turn into a statistic tomorrow. While God knows me by name, we may be rapidly reduced to merely a number on the dusty files of our government records. Of course, we have fallen short but where and how? Can this enormous loss ever…

    Do you see us Lord?

Do you hear us crying out to you?

Do you see our land ravaged by death and disease? Do you see our night sky lit up by innumerable funeral pyres? Do you see the long lines of sick people waiting outside hospitals?

Do you see people running helter skelter to arrange medicines and equipment for helping their loved…

“…call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." ~Psalm 50:15

At roughly this time last year, India had only encountered the tip of the iceberg, which now has magnified into the international health crisis that we are experiencing today. The world watched with anticipation to see how the second largest population in the…

    Day of Prayer - April 30, 2021

    "He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him."
    -Psalm 91: 15

Time and again God has reiterated in His Word that when His people turn to Him, He WILL respond. He is faithful, gracious, full of compassion, slow to anger and great in His mercy. Whenever His people…

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." ~ 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

I swiped through my Facebook news feed in shock, as funeral announcements and memorial…

Believe in the Lord your God!

Around 2900 years ago, King Jehoshaphat and the nation of Israel faced a situation very similar to the one we face in our country today. A huge army was on its way to conquer them, an army they had no clout against. There was literally nothing they could do to fight them or even stand against them. The fear was…

Stories of God at Work In India

Do you have a personal testimony you would like to share with the world?

Knowing God and journeying with Him doesn't always mean walking through green pastures or quiet waters. Whatever be the reason, whether circumstances beyond our control, or our own wickedness or foolishness, often, we do have to walk through valleys filled with pain, disappointments and despair. But for many…

    For This He Came

Based on an excerpt from Our Daily Bread author Bill Crowder's book of the same name.

In 2003, India stormed her way into the finals of the Cricket world cup. After the historic win against the West Indies in 1983, everyone believed that the millennium would bring the coveted cup home. Going into it the Australians were the favorite, a formidable…

The Amazing Names of the Messiah

During World War II, my father-in-law spent 18 months in a prisoner-of-war camp. In the camp, loudspeakers often played music, including a song entitled “Lili Marlene.” Somehow it gave him hope, and he fell in love with the beauty of that name. Years later he gave that name, filled with personal significance, to his only daughter— my wife, Marlene.

    Names are…
