I’m sure that some of you are in the midst of confusion and uncertainty even today. In our Country we are facing one of the worst economic downturns since independence. The company you work for is reducing its work force due to the losses incurred during COVID 19. Will you still have a job? You and your spouse have grown apart. Will your marriage survive? One of your children is rebelling against everything you believed in. Will their future be ruined by making so many poor choices? Wouldn’t it be great, in times of bad news and painful experiences, if you could experience God, face to face? This passage tells us that you can.

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple (Isaiah 6:1-4)

I’m going to zero in on is the word “ALSO”

For some inexplicable reason in the contemporary translations such as the NIV, NLT and NKJV Also has been left out and is seen only in the KJV. I think maybe some of the other translations have it but predominantly in KJV.

Everyone of us needs this revelation….. and this revelation happens when we gather together and worship God, Not just to hear the message, although it is important to hear the word because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, but many times we think about hearing the preacher when we should be hearing from the Savior.

That word “also” is the fulcrum or hinge upon which our testimony in a crazy world, often rests upon.

So people say to us ..

Look at what’s happening in the country no petrol no diesel, no electricity , no gas, cost of living is going sky high. Look what’s happening in the world ,we don’t know what to think about anything, what do you think about this, don’t you read the newspaper? What about the economic situation around the world, the humanitarian issues around the world, what about the resurgence of all these problems , what ? don’t you see ? how come you are at rest?, why are you calm? don’t you see it ?.

I say to them , yes I see it ,I read the same newspapers you do, but I also see the Lord in it and He is high and lifted up.

I believe that’s our testimony to the world. yes I live in the world. but we are not called to be of it
