About the Organisation

Our Daily Bread Ministries exists to make the life-changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to all. We do this through creating and distributing print, digital, video, and audio resources that help believers grow as disciples of Jesus, and deepen their Christian faith.

Position Summary

The role of the Ministry Coordinator has two key functions. Firstly you would focus on growth of the New Zealand ministry by building new partner relationships and expanding on existing relationships. Secondly the successful candidate would ensure the smooth running of the operations in New Zealand. To be successful in the role you will need to have a finger on the “pulse” of the operations, lead and manage co-workers to work well together, and to utilize systems to meet the objectives of the ministry. 

We are looking for someone with a heart for ministry and wanting to see people engage with their Bibles.  You will be quite comfortable meeting with people identifying new opportunities for the ministry and at the same time be able to manage a small team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new ministry opportunities building new relationships with partners and churches 
  • Build relationships with existing Churches to expand the range of resources
  • Work closely with the Assy VP to identify opportunities
  • Continually increase product knowledge and grow an understanding of our wider product range. 
  • Represent ODB publicly at events and partnership meetings
  • Ensure the smooth running of the local operations, including overseeing Financial Reporting, planning, budgeting and human resources. 
  • Lead and develop staff in such a way to maximise their contribution and effectiveness. 
  • Ensure that all local legal requirements and ODB policies are adhered to.
  • Maintain clear and immediate communications with the Asst Vice President
  • Provide spiritual leadership for the team

Skills and Experience to be successful

  • At least 5 years experience in leading teams or in sales/customer service environment 
  • Have a demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and able to work independently and with team members
  • Have a genuine commitment to building new relationships and customer service excellence
  • Possess strong verbal and written and communication skills
  • Experience in leading small teams
  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Google Docs.
  • Have an eye for detail and follow through
  • Have a strong conviction of the life changing power of the gospel of Christ and be actively involved in the life of the church

Highly Regarded Job Requirements

  • Be able to speak Chinese fluently 
  • Experience with working with people from different ethnic, language, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Previous experience working in Not for Profit sector, in particular Christian faith-based ministry
  • Previous experience with Digital Marketing work. 
  • Previous Salesforce/CRM  experience

This position is located at our office in Rosedale on the North Shore, allowing for remote work at times.
