More Than Just a Book: How Printed Devotionals Touch Lives

More Than Just a Book: How Printed Devotionals Touch Lives

One of the greatest joys of serving in this ministry is seeing how God uses His Word to meet people right where they are. Each week, we hear stories of lives transformed and strengthened by the Bible, thanks to the resources you help make available.

As we reflect on these testimonies, we recognize that this is a significant season. The hunger for God’s Word is growing, and we are called to respond by making Scripture more accessible than ever, both digitally and in print.

In Indonesia, we have been integrating our digital and print efforts so people can engage with the Bible in ways that serve them best. Yet printed devotionals remain a vital part of our ministry, reaching many who rely on them for daily encouragement and spiritual growth. This is especially true for the older generation, for whom holding a physical copy represents an irreplaceable experience. For many, Our Daily Bread devotionals feel like a faithful friend accompanying them in their morning time with God.

For nearly 30 years, our print partners have faithfully served alongside us, producing millions of Our Daily Bread devotionals and other resources. However, ongoing increases in fuel and energy costs have affected many aspects of production and distribution. As a result, printing costs have risen, placing added pressure on our ability to sustain current distribution levels. The last thing we would ever want is for such challenges to prevent someone from receiving God’s wisdom.

In this moment, your support is especially meaningful. Your prayers and generosity help us provide biblical resources while stewarding our costs wisely, enabling more people to encounter God through His Word.

Psalm 119:160 reminds us, “All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.”

God is still changing lives, and you are an inseparable part of this mission. Thank you for standing with us to make His Word accessible today and for generations to come.

With gratitude,
