Our office in Malaysia is currently looking for Content Strategy & Marketing Lead – English language, Digital Marketing Executive, Helpdesk Specialist and Web Designer to join us in our mission to make the life-changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to more people in Malaysia and beyond.

1. Content Strategy & Marketing Lead – English language

Job Descriptions:

  • Develop and implement content strategy (print and digital) for Our Daily Bread’s Malaysian English-speaking audiences
  • Craft, research, prioritise and develop the content and its delivery/ distribution throughout the targeted customer path-to-purchase/ loyalty journey.
    o Resources are leveraged, adapted, translated from global or regional offices as well as developing and acquiring local content/ writers.
    o Delivery & distribution of resources includes digital and physical channels
  • Initiate English-language campaigns and collaborate with Digital Marketing and Production/ Editorial teams to achieve content goals and calendar
  • Review content to be consistent with ODB’s statement of faith, brand voice and content philosophy
  • Responsible for metrics related to English-speaking audiences including targeted reach and conversions

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent English language proficiency and written skills for online and print
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • See the bigger picture and connect the dots to see and analyse patterns
  • Planning and organising

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Preferably to have theological studies exposure and background
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in marketing, communications or strategy roles

2. Digital Marketing Executive

Job Descriptions:

  • Upload and maintain existing web projects (EN).
  • Upload content for Spotlight Malaysia (EN).
  • Update our prayer page for all 3 languages (EN, SC, BM).
  • Update the monthly odb.org widget (EN).
  • Update new widget / banner homepage in HTML only. Upon completion of update, this will be proof-read by others (SC, BM).
  • Design, build and maintain Our Daily Bread’s (EN, SC, BM) social media presence.
  • Optimise content for website and social channels like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube (EN).
  • Handle Facebook posting & comments (EN).
  • Plan and execute SEO, SEM, marketing emails, social media, and online campaign (EN).
  • Drive website traffic and acquire leads.
  • Track website traffic flow and provide regular internal reports.
  • Collaborate with designers to improve user experience.
  • Edit and post content, i.e. text, videos, audio content etc on online sites.

Note: EN = English language, SC = Simplified Chinese, BM = Bahasa Malaysia

Job Requirements:

  • Possess basic knowledge and understanding of simple coding and mark-up language.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Creative with excellent analytical abilities.
  • Able to write and communicate well in English. Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.
  • Minimum diploma or basic degree, with 2 to 3 years work experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Must willing to work in Johor Jaya or Subang Jaya.

3. Helpdesk Specialist

Job Descriptions:

  • Provide basic support (customer service, installation, diagnosis, and troubleshooting) for all desktop computer users as a member of the Desktop Support staff.
  • Log incoming tickets from phone, email, and “drop-in” sources into the Help Desk software. Resolve the call ticket if able, otherwise route the call ticket to the appropriate I/S technician or Software Support Specialist. Log all closed call tickets on the same day in which the closed tickets are received.
  • Monitor open call tickets. Proactively communicate resolution status to the user.
  • Provide basic and some intermediate level support to the ODB desktop user community for all I/S-supported software applications for PC and Mac platforms. This includes operating system maintenance (installation, modification, problem diagnosis, and troubleshooting) for ODB-supported versions of MS Windows and Mac OS.
  • Provide basic support for phones, copiers, faxes, and other miscellaneous office equipment. Contact vendors in the event that the equipment needs repair.
  • Provide assistance to the I/S team, such as supply purchasing, updating the hardware/software database, etc.
  • Assist the PC Hardware specialist with deploying and maintaining computer hardware throughout the organization.
  • Ensure that user accounts are managed appropriately and accurately in Active Directory and Google Apps. Work with Human Resources to coordinate computer/phone setups for new and transferring employees.
  • Work with designated team members to obtain and manage licensed software and ensure that it is deployed and updated in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Two years of formal college-level training in computer science or equivalent experience in an environment in which basic proficiency in MS Windows and Office can be demonstrated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Basic proficiency in current versions of MS Windows, Mac OS, MS Office Professional, various Internet browsers, and Google Apps.
  • A basic knowledge of Mac/PC desktop and laptop hardware is required.
  • Strive to live a life consistent with Biblical principles and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development.
  • Must be able to work well with I/S technicians and Software Support Specialists. Frequent communication with internal Systems Technologies staff. Subject will usually be of a complex or technical nature.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum basic degree, with 3 to 5 years of work experience.

4. Web Designer

Job Descriptions:

  • Design and create relational database schemas
  • Design digital assets, testing and optimising based on performance
  • Revise, improve and maintain our organisation websites as required
  • Design visual imagery for websites and ensure they are in line with branding
  • Able to communicate design ideas via user flows, process flows, sitemaps and wireframes
  • Collaborate with other teams to define requirements, come up with design solutions, and contribute expertise for digital products

Job Requirements:

  • Must be web-savvy and understand current web design trends
  • Proficient with digital design tools ie. Adobe Creative Suites and Sketch
  • Working knowledge of CSS, HTML and JavaScript
  • Awareness of UI/UX principles and strong design skills
  • Photo and video editing skills would be an advantage
  • Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks within timeline and budget
  • Strong and varied portfolio showing design capabilities for different audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch
  • Keen learner of current digital design best practices and web production techniques
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to communicate in English, Chinese and BM

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum diploma or basic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Media or equivalent. Minimum 2 years work experience in related field.
