1. Country Director
Assigned Country: Malaysia

Accounts to: Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific Ministry Operations
Position Summary
- The Country Director (CD) will report to the SVP, AP and work with her to provide strategic leadership for the work of the ministry and utilization of ministry resources within Malaysia.
- Ensure the smooth running of the ministry within Malaysia, and ensure that the SVP is informed of any substantive issues on a timely basis.
- Have a finger on the “pulse” of the operation, and to lead and manage staff team to work well together, to accomplish all agreed to and budgeted objectives and to ensure the day-to-day operations are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensures that the financial management/stewardship and Human Resource management are consistent with corporate policies, goals and objectives.
- Ensures compliance with ODBM ethos and values and help SVP to develop those values in staff/volunteers in Malaysia.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Office Management
- Ensure that ODBM philosophy of Dependence (on God) and Interdependence (amongst co-workers in the same office and also with other ODB offices in the Asia Pacific) is the prevailing culture.
- Ensures the efficient and effective support services for the overall work of the local ministry in accordance with ODBM policies and processes, and in particular to build and maintain a robust Ministry Relationship Services to serve our readers, both print and digital.
- Ensures the provision of efficient service delivery to the ministry’s users and target audience within Malaysia, including the proper inventory of all print resources an housekeeping of digital resources.
- With the agreement of SVP, to ensure resources necessary for the implementation of the approved programs and ministry initiatives are available to achieve the agreed objectives (include financial, facilities, etc).
- Execute ongoing ministry partnerships in accordance with agreements in place and recommend to the SVP, of any necessary changes or new agreements when necessary.
- Explore any opportunities for communicating ministry teachings and the securing through the global network of the ministry – the maximum administrative and operational supports needed to act on these opportunities at efficient costs.
- Ensure operations are carried out in accordance with laws and regulations within Malaysia.
- Agree with SVP on an annual plans and budget within the Global Strategic Briefs and any other supporting policies related to it.
2. Human Capital
- Inculcate a ministry culture that is in line with the Principles of Ministry.
- Direct and manage staff in such a way to maximize their contribution and effectiveness.
- Identify staff potential to coach/mentor and develop/empower staff in line with their God-given gifts and talents.
- Keep the staff informed of all relevant information, including all upcoming work-related projects.
- Equip and manage the ministry in Malaysia, with competent personnel and advise on their direction, appraisal, and compensation within the limits of corporate policy, the guiding principles, and ethos of the ministry in line with the mission and vision of Our Daily Bread Ministries.
- Encourage staff to identify process improvements, efficiencies, and opportunities for ongoing development of the ministry.
3. Project Management
- Responsible to coordinate and implement project management tools for the efficient completion of projects within Malaysia, and collaboration with others as when needed.
- Ensure that local content development and local digital strategy are in accordance with the ODB Content Philosophy and all other related policy documents.
4. Communication
- Ensure all issues of any concern or implication are highlighted immediately to the SVP, Functional Directors and/or the local Board (where appropriate).
- Maintain clear and timely communication with the SVP.
- Maintain clear, on-going and regular communications with staff members.
- Ensure all communications conform to Global Operations requirements:
- Communication to other Country Directors in the region, copy to SVP.
- Communication to Country Director in another region, copy to SVP of both regions.
- Respond to all incoming communications, enquiries and issues to be prompt and succinct.
5. Others
- Report to and be accountable to the SVP for all other duties as assigned by the SVP.
- Provide spiritual leadership, leading by godly example, to the local team in Malaysia, and leading them to grow to love God and love others.
- Be a prayerful, faithful and effective witness in actions and display of attitudes of Christian stewardship.

2. Administrative Assistant

- Coordinate and follow up BM editorial work with freelancers and volunteers (translation, proofreading, audio, articles, graphics)
- Manage scheduling and honorarium payments
- Scheduling daily Pedoman Harian posts on Facebook and Instagram
- Upload daily readings, insights, images, and audio to the Pedoman Harian website
- Manage daily WhatsApp distribution and respond to messages
- Create tracking code for daily WhatsApp postings
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in any field
- Required language(s): English & Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in other languages, especially Chinese, would be advantageous
- Required skill(s): communication skills, interpersonal skills
- Possess knowledge in using Microsoft Office
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Clerical/Administrative Support or equivalent
- Must be willing to work at Sabah Theological Seminary, Kota Kinabalu
- Possess own transport

3. Finance Executive
Job Descriptions
- Handle full set of accounts and report monthly financial statements to management
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including invoices, payments, cash book, monthly bank and debtors reconciliation, and other accounting tasks
- Ensure all accounting records are accurately updated and reconciled in the accounting system
- Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and other statutory bodies
- Perform reconciliation of inter-country balances and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and analyze actual performance against budget and prior year
- Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and insights during board meetings
- Monitor compliance and support the implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Assist in cash flow management and fund planning
- Respond to ad-hoc duties and requests from management as delegated
Job Requirements

4. Logistic Executive

- Responsible for daily activities of the warehouse, including loading, unloading, receiving, maintenance and inventory
- Handle administrative works related to warehousing activities and ministry services
- Liaise and follow through with transporter/courier service providers for delivery and shipment

5. Church Ministries Lead / Director
Reports to: Country Director
Location: Klang Valley, Malaysia
Travel: Regular travel throughout Malaysia for ministry engagements
Role Scope: Church Ministries, Partnerships and Outreach
Role Purpose
The Church Ministries Lead / Director provides strategic, relational and spiritual leadership for Our Daily Bread Ministries’ church engagement and outreach in Malaysia. The role strengthens partnerships with churches, seminaries and Christian organizations; expands the meaningful use of ODBM print and digital resources; develops outreach networks; and leads ministry programs that help people engage with the Bible and grow in their relationship with God.
As a member of the Malaysia leadership team, the role holder also contributes to the overall direction and health of the ministry, develops the Church Ministries team, and models servant leadership and spiritual maturity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ministry Strategy and Leadership
- Partner with the Country Director to shape and execute the Church Ministries strategy for Malaysia in alignment with ODBM’s mission and priorities.
- Translate strategy into annual work plans, ministry priorities, measurable outcomes and clear team responsibilities; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Prepare and manage the Church Ministries annual budget, ensuring responsible stewardship and appropriate monitoring of expenditure.
- Contribute actively and intentionally to organization-wide planning, decisions and initiatives as a Team Lead.
2. Churches, Seminaries and Christian Partnerships
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with churches, seminaries and other Christian organizations across Malaysia.
- Identify opportunities to introduce, distribute and encourage the effective use of ODBM print and digital resources, including suitable opportunities to co-create ministry resources or initiatives.
- Cultivate partnership support for ODBM through prayer, giving, volunteering and participation in ministry initiatives.
- Maintain consistent partner communication through the annual Church Ministries newsletter and timely updates on resources, projects, focus areas, events and prayer needs.
- Represent ODBM at church and partner engagements, including preaching, teaching, speaking, presenting and participating in invited events.
3. Bible Engagement, Conferences and Events
- Set the direction for, organize and coordinate Bible conferences, Bible teaching sessions, workshops and other church ministry or partnership events.
- Work with internal teams, speakers, churches and partners to deliver well-planned events that are biblically sound, relevant to the audience and aligned with ministry objectives.
- Review event outcomes and feedback, document key learnings and use them to strengthen future programs.
4. Outreach Ministry
- Develop and implement ODBM’s outreach strategy in Malaysia.
- Recruit, equip and engage Outreach Partners and Christian Neighbours to extend the ministry’s reach within their communities and networks.
- Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the Outreach Ministry and Christian Neighbour programs.
- Strengthen relationships with Outreach Partners and Christian Neighbours through regular visits, calls, email communication and ministry updates or sharing letters.
- Plan and facilitate gatherings, briefings and development meetings for Outreach Partners and Christian Neighbours.
5. Team Development and Operational Stewardship
- Recruit, lead, coach and develop Church Ministries staff, fostering a collaborative, accountable and spiritually healthy team culture.
- Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback and support team members’ professional and ministry development.
- Ensure Church Ministries administration and reporting are timely, complete and accurate, including public event reports, donation reports and contact records in Salesforce.
- Maintain appropriate standards of confidentiality, data accuracy, financial stewardship and compliance with ODBM policies and procedures.
- Collaborate across departments, contributing to shared priorities and drawing on colleagues’ expertise to strengthen Church Ministries programs and outcomes.
6. Spiritual and Organizational Leadership
- Model a Christ-centred life, servant leadership, sound biblical judgement and commitment to ODBM’s mission and values.
- Provide pastoral care, prayerful encouragement and spiritual leadership to ODBM Malaysia staff, while working appropriately with the Country Director and other leaders.
- Contribute to staff devotions, prayer, fellowship and other initiatives that nurture the spiritual life and unity of the organization.
- Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the Country Director in support of the ministry’s needs.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognised qualification.
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience, including substantial experience in Christian ministry, church engagement, partnerships, outreach or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, program delivery, budgeting, team leadership and stakeholder relationship management.
- A mature Christian faith, sound biblical grounding and a clear sense of calling to serve through Christian ministry.
- Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to preach, teach, present and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Willingness and ability to work in the Klang Valley and travel regularly throughout Malaysia.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Ordination, formal theological education or substantial ministry training.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin.
- Experience working across Malaysia’s diverse church traditions, language groups and cultural contexts.
- Experience with Salesforce or a comparable constituent relationship management system.
