“He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.”
-Psalm 91: 15

Time and again God has reiterated in His Word that when His people turn to Him, He WILL respond. He is faithful, gracious, full of compassion, slow to anger and great in His mercy. Whenever His people have turned to Him as one, crying out to Him for help, He has always shown up, always delivered them. He is true and is the same yesterday, today and forever.

At times like this we are challenged to show compassion to those who are bereaved and hurting, confused and afraid, who have lost their livelihoods and don’t know where to turn or what to do. Times such as these are when we can demonstrate the love of God by praying for and reaching out to those in need.

So come dear brothers and sisters in Christ, with confidence in Him and compassion in our hearts let’s pray and look to Him for the healing of our land and for comfort to the broken hearted.

Please join us as we:

  1. Pray for all the doctors, nurses, and medical personnel who are at the forefront of the pandemic, working round the clock to help the affected. We pray that they will be blessed with divine wisdom as they make decisions about the treatment. That they will be physically safe and protected as they are continually exposed to the virus and work without breaks. That they will be emotionally strong and stable as they fight for others amidst death and destruction.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding’ ~ Proverbs 2:6
    2. Pray for those who have lost family members to the disease and are grieving. We pray that they will be strengthened and the peace of God which surpasses all human understanding will comfort them. That God will meet them in their pain and help them come through the situation and take care of themselves and the rest of the family.
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.~ John 14:27

     3.   Pray for those infected severely and are in hospital or the ICU battling for life. We pray that the healing that is their inheritance due to the finished work of Jesus on the cross will be manifested in their bodies. That every system in their body including their respiratory system and immune system will be aligned to the original authentic design of God and will function as God created it to. We pray that though they are isolated away from their loved ones, their spirit will be strong and aligned to God’s Word as their body fights the infection.  Pray that they will have access to all medication and equipment they need and that their recovery will bring glory to God amidst their families and friends and the medical personnel treating them.

I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done.’ ~ Psalms 118:17

4.  Pray for those whose family members are in isolation in the hospital/ICU. We pray that they will have the strength to withstand the strain of not being physically around the patient and only depending on the medical personnel for news and updates. We pray that they will continue to focus on God and His Word despite the terrible happenings around them. That they will be strong emotionally and physically. We pray that they will have enough finances to treat their loved ones, and it will not add to their worries.

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.’ ~ Psalm 27:13

5.  Pray for those who are infected and are recovering at home. We pray that they will recover quickly and without any complications. That whether they are taking care of themselves alone or have family members to help, they will have access to healthy food and required medication and will be able to rest in God as their bodies recover. We pray that the family members taking care of them will be protected and strong physically and emotionally.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.’ ~ Psalm 23: 4

6. Pray that the vaccine will be available in plenty and everyone will be vaccinated quickly and without complications. We pray that the vaccination process will be smooth and safe.

‘The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.’ ~ Psalm 138:8

7. Pray for people to respect the social distancing norms and the chain of viral transmission to be broken. We pray that people will observe all the precautions advised and avoid passing on the infection to others due to their foolishness or ignorance.

Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, ~ Titus 3:1

8. Pray that the daily wage workers and others economically affected by this situation will have enough resources to feed their families and stay safe. That those forced to go out to work every day will be protected and emotionally and physically strong. That they will receive help from all directions and can tide over this time of crisis safely.

‘Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked’. ~ Psalm 82:3–4

9. Pray for our leaders and authorities that they will receive wisdom and divine instructions that can help them deal with the situation effectively. We pray that they will know what to do to help control the surge of the infection and to mobilise resources for the hospitals across the country.

‘I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.’ ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

10. Pray for our pastors and church leaders for wisdom and strength as they shepherd their congregations through these difficult times while also taking care of themselves and their families. Pray for them that they will have divine wisdom to guide and counsel the families of the bereaved and to comfort them in their time of need while also keeping themselves safe.

‘Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.’ ~ Psalm 27: 14

11. Finally, we pray for ourselves and everyone who is praying for India. We are at the forefront of the war against Covid in the supernatural realm and we pray that we will be faithful as we intercede for the others in our country. We pray that we will not fail, that our spirits will be strong and we will continue to declare and decree that God’s will be done on earth as it is heaven. That our eyes will be fixed on the Lord and not waver or lose hope till the day we see victory manifest. We also pray that as Christians, we will live out our faith in action and help our countrymen in practical ways, while also interceding for them in prayer. That we will give of our time, talent and treasure to help our fellow Indians overcome this catastrophe.
