LEARNING TECHNOLOGIST AND INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER

Summary:
As the Learning technologist and Instructional Designer, you will work closely with several team members including other IDs, Learning Technologists, Quality Reviewer and Graphic Designers etc. to ensure development of online learning support.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with SMEs to design superior online courses that are supported by research-based best practices in online learning.
- Work with SMEs to establish learning outcomes and alignment of content and assessment to those learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with SMEs to design relevant assessments that align with course learning objectives.
- Suggest relevant open educational resources and appropriate instructional methods for online content delivery.
- Document design decisions and assist with preparing documentation for partner approval as appropriate.
- Build and set up a course within a learning management system (LMS), leveraging a variety of tools (including LTIs) and coding languages (such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) to deliver engaging learning experiences according to project briefs
- Have strict adherence to a provided style guide.
- Build all content, discussion boards, assignments, tests, and quizzes in the LMS
- Ensure the course display is consistent throughout
- Ensure all aspects of the coursework properly (hyperlinks, videos, 3rd party integrations)
- Ability to master new technologies in short timeframes
- Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines and quality standards
- Willingness to embrace the unknown, be flexible and to continually explore and learn in a changing environment
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Preferred: Advanced degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Instructional Design or related field.
- Current, in-depth knowledge of instructional design and learning theory.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with Subject Matter Experts for online course development.
- Proven leadership in developing courses characterised by innovation in instructional design.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a history of positive results achieved collaboratively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across complex organisational structures.
- Experience with existing quality standards for course design (e.g., Quality Matters).
- Competency in various LMS systems.

- Quality assurance training and certification (QM, OSCQR, other).
- Post-secondary teaching and learning experience.

- Willingness to work / travel to the Chennai office and within the country as needed or required.
- Pastoral reference & Character reference is a must
Location – Prefreably in Chennai, but exceptions can be made for the right candiadate.
