We are looking for a young and self-driven person to help with our financial operations. They will report to the Manager-Finance and Admin and he/she will be responsible for a variety of financial accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be proactive and detail-oriented and will support the finance department. They will help manage the day-to-day financial tasks, preparing reports, inputs for tally, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. They may also need to generate weekly/monthly financial reports and liaison with auditors, company secretary, banking officials, external authorities, and others. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting.
What You’ll Do:
- Support in Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Help in compiling data for financial analysis and forecasting
- General Accounting Support:
- Assist with the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Help with managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Process vendor invoices, ensure correct entries, and reconcile supplier accounts.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Assist in preparing and filing tax returns (GST, TDS) under the guidance of the Financial Accountant.
- Help ensure compliance with Indian tax laws and regulations by maintaining accurate records.
- Audit Support:
- Assist in gathering documents and reports for statutory and internal audits.
- Help with audit preparations by ensuring all financial records are up to date.
- Data Entry & Record Keeping:
- Input financial data into accounting systems with accuracy.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records and documents.
- Payroll Assistance:
- Assist in the preparation of payroll data by verifying employee records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field with relevant work experience of 1-2 years is preferred. Freshers are also welcome to apply.
- A strong command of the English language with proficiency in one or more Indian languages.
- Computer Proficiency: Tally Prime and MS Office Suite Tools with an emphasis on Excel.
