We are looking for a young and self-driven person to help with our financial operations. They will report to the Manager-Finance and Admin and he/she will be responsible for a variety of financial accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be proactive and detail-oriented and will support the finance department. They will help manage the day-to-day financial tasks, preparing reports, inputs for tally, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. They may also need to generate weekly/monthly financial reports and liaison with auditors, company secretary, banking officials, external authorities, and others. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting.

 

 What You’ll Do:

  1. Support in Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
    • Help in compiling data for financial analysis and forecasting
  2. General Accounting Support:
    • Assist with the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
    • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  3. Accounts Payable & Receivable:
    • Help with managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
    • Process vendor invoices, ensure correct entries, and reconcile supplier accounts.
  4. Compliance & Documentation:
    • Assist in preparing and filing tax returns (GST, TDS) under the guidance of the Financial Accountant.
    • Help ensure compliance with Indian tax laws and regulations by maintaining accurate records.
  5. Audit Support:
    • Assist in gathering documents and reports for statutory and internal audits.
    • Help with audit preparations by ensuring all financial records are up to date.
  6. Data Entry & Record Keeping:
    • Input financial data into accounting systems with accuracy.
    • Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records and documents.
  7. Payroll Assistance:
    • Assist in the preparation of payroll data by verifying employee records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

 

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field with relevant work experience of 1-2 years is preferred. Freshers are also welcome to apply.
  • A strong command of the English language with proficiency in one or more Indian languages.
  • Computer Proficiency: Tally Prime and MS Office Suite Tools with an emphasis on Excel.
