Why take the challenge?
Have you ever wanted to read the entire Bible, but found it hard to stay consistent or motivated? This year, we want to invite you to journey with us by signing up for the Bible in a Year Challenge 2026, a life-changing journey through God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation.
As a Bible-engagement ministry it is our earnest desire and responsibility to lead people closer to God through His Word. Since a challenge gives people a clear goal within a select time frame, we believe that this challenge and the mutual accountability of the faith-community of Our Daily Bread readers is the motivation you need to read God’s Word this year, cover to cover.
Come lets walk together, through the pages of Scripture daily using the Our Daily Bread “Bible in a Year” reading plan as a tool to daily dwell on God’s Word.
How does this Challenge work?
A heart that is open to receiving God’s Word is all that you need to begin this Bible in a Year Challenge 2026.
▼1. Get Your Bible and Reading Plan
Use your Our Daily Bread devotional (Annual devotion or Quarterly), which includes the ‘Bible in a Year reading plan‘. You can also download the reading plan we’ll send after registration or follow it online or on our App. Keep it in your journal, Bible, or phone for easy access. If you have not yet subscribed for the Quarterly devotional subscribe here.
▼2. Set a Daily Time with God
Choose a time and place where you can read without distractions — morning or evening. Consistency matters more than perfection; if you miss a day, don’t quit — just pick up where you left off.
▼3. Read, Reflect, and Respond
As you read, ask:
-> What does this passage tell me about God?
-> What truth can I apply to my life today?
Use a notebook or the Planted by Living Waters journal to record verses and reflections that impact you.
▼4. Share the Journey
Invite a friend, family member, or small group to join you. Staying the course is easier with encouragement and fellowship. Share your journey on social media using #odbminbiay.
