May he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:21

“G od is at work” is a phrase that expresses the belief that God is actively present and involved in the world, shaping events and circumstances according to His divine plan. For many people of faith, this idea provides comfort and reassurance that even in times of struggle or uncertainty, God is in control and working towards a greater purpose. This concept is found in various religious traditions and can be interpreted in different ways, but at its core, it speaks to the belief in a higher power guiding and directing the course of human history.

For many of us, it can be easy to feel disconnected or disheartened in the face of the challenges and struggles we encounter on a daily basis. But through faith and reflection, we can begin to see the ways in which God is at work, even in the midst of adversity.

“God will never
give you more than
you can bear. He
will give you
only what you
can handle.”

When we acknowledge that God is at work in our lives, we see our struggles, challenges, and even our triumphs in a new light. We find meaning and purpose in our experiences, and we begin to feel a deeper sense of connection with Him.

Let us explore the ways in which God is actively present and at work in our lives and in the world around us through real-life stories, and insights that can help you deepen your understanding of God’s presence and purpose in your life.

We all know that being a Christian and putting our trust in God doesn’t shield or exempt us from the pains of this life. But still, when we face trials, challenges, or even God’s “silence” in the form of an unanswered prayer, we can’t help but feel discouraged or forgotten by God.

My heart continues to break for the persecuted Christians and people of minority religions who face a constant threat of violence, rape, imprisonment and even death all over the world. Their stories are heartbreaking, and the needs seem overwhelming. If thousands of innocent people suffer at the hands of a crazed killer or a sudden change in the earth’s atmosphere, why does God seem to remain silent? How is that right or fair?

It can sometimes feel like my hopes and wishes lack … conviction. Like hopefully something good will happen, but I’m not putting a lot of stock in it in case it doesn’t materialise.
