God calls us to have hearts of humility, forgiveness, and love toward one another in our communities(EPHESIANS 4:32; 5:21;
1 PETER 5:5). Being part of the body of Christ is about “one another” and not just “me.”
SERVE TOGETHER: Spur one another on toward love and good deeds. (HEBREWS 10:24)
• There are needs all around you. Ask God what you can do for each other and strangers. Share a meal, a card, a gift, your time. Use your God-given gifts so that people will feel seen and cared for. Join others in accomplishing His will.
PRAY TOGETHER: Carry each other’s burdens. (GALATIANS 6:2)
• Bring your needs to God. Vulnerability and honesty build closer relationships and give you and others opportunity to trust Him together and to see Him work in your lives.
SHARE TOGETHER: Encourage one another daily, . . . so that
none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. (HEBREWS 3:13)
• Create a safe and trusted environment by allowing people to share authentically what they think. Challenge each other with
the Scriptures, share your stories, help each other grow (1 THESSALONIANS 5:11). A group that includes a variety of ages brings broad experience and insights.
RELAX TOGETHER: Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. (1 PETER 4:9)
• Host others in your home for casual conversation and connection. Have fun! A game night, a dessert, a play.
How might you and your community be more intentional about practicing how to love “one another”?
