Dear Friend,

Every day, people across the Asia-Pacific region are connecting with God through His Word. Let me share some of their stories with you. Each one testifies to the life, strength, and hope that the Holy Spirit plants in us as we engage with the Bible.

In Thailand, Kornkajee is undergoing treatment for cancer, in what she calls a “time of terror”. Listening to the audio version of Our Daily Bread is strengthening her and reassuring her of the Lord’s presence.

In Japan, a new website is helping a believer reflect on the parable of the lost sheep, inspiring them to respond to God’s love as they see Jesus bringing His lost sheep home.

Meanwhile, in an isolated detention centre in the Philippines, young boys and teenagers struggling with substance abuse are desperately hoping for a second chance in life—which they are discovering as they read about God’s promise of forgiveness and fatherly love.

I pray that your story, too, can be counted among them.

Isn’t it such a privilege to be invited to engage with the Bible and discover great joy in Christ? Psalm 1 tells us that those who accept God’s invitation to delight in His Word are “blessed”. As we delight in receiving the life-giving words of God and reflect on them each day, we become like vibrant, fruitful trees that can stand firm in the face of challenges.

Across the Asia-Pacific region, there’s a movement of people who love to engage with the Bible because they are experiencing the abundant fruit that God plants through His Word. If you haven’t already, can I encourage you to join this movement? And, if you are already one of those delighting in the Bible, will you share your joy with others by helping us connect even more people with God’s Word every day, in every possible way? May we be people who receive, reflect on, and respond to God’s Word, for His Word brings life.

  • Ask God for a greater delight for His Word. Pray that by the Holy Spirit, God will ignite a passion in people’s hearts to engage with the Bible and grow deeper in their walk with Him. Pray for more to become fruitful followers who experience the blessing promised in Psalm 1.
  • Pray for opportunities to serve more people. Please pray for open doors as we create content for new audiences, particularly those who have yet to discover the life-giving truth found in God’s Word.
