Speakers’ Bio
 

Therese Ann Koelmeyer. Therese Ann Koelmeyer from the Colombo Gospel Tabernacle was born in Tacoma, Washington. Therese received her degree in Community Development from Western Washington University. She was studying for a Master’s degree in missions at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California, when God called her to Sri Lanka in the summer of 1985. Leaving for a 2-year mission on 9 October 1986, Therese did not return to complete her Master’s, instead staying on in Sri Lanka— now 30 years and counting.

Therese is married to Roger Koelmeyer. They have a total of 25 children: 3 biological, 1 adopted, and 21 foster children. Roger is Senior Pastor of the Colombo Gospel Tabernacle, the mother church to 46 branch churches. Therese assists Roger in leadership training, training resource production, preaching, children’s church, and Sunday school. In addition, she directs KidzNet, a national network of 42 Christian children’s homes dedicated to providing residential care in Sri Lanka.

 

Dileeni Abraham. Dileeni Abraham from Colombo Theological Seminary is on the adjunct faculty at Colombo Theological Seminary, coordinating its certificate program in counselling while also maintaining an active counselling practice. She served as a missionary alongside her husband and three daughters for 21 years in the Philippines and 4 years in Australia before returning to Sri Lanka in 2010.

She holds a Master’s degree in counselling from Alliance Biblical Seminary, Philippines. Along with many years of professional counselling practice in different cultures, her ministry has included training lay-counsellors, teaching, counselling, leading women’s retreats, and discipling women. Dileeni and her husband Kumar are members of Serving In Mission (SIM). They have two grandsons and one granddaughter.
